Congratulations to all who competed in this year's Barrow Sprint Tri on Sunday 16th May. We hope you had a great day and enjoyed the dry conditions. The high quality field produced no surprises in the winning male, with Andy Tarry completing the 400m swim, 12.5 mile bike and 5.1K run in 53:42. There were 3 others who clocked less than and hour and Cap'n Spenno came home in an impressive 6th. In the women's category, Leicester Tri's Jeanette Foster and Gina Vaughan completed a 1:2 closely followed by Barrow's Emily Ault in third place. Congratulations to Ann Hillier for claiming top spot in the F50 category of the LRRL winter league. Barrow Runners also took second spot in the M50, with Geoff Newill, and F45 with Mon Raaijmakers. Stuart Spencer (3rd in senior male) and Cat Draper (4th senior female). Congratulations! Remember tomorrow's League race at Desford will be run under winter league rules so remember to bring your winter league number. Have a good race!

Well done to all those who ran in today's London Marathon. Spenno did a fantastic run to come home in 2:31 smashing the club marathon record by more than 10 minutes. Alex Toll did a p.b. to come home in 2:47. |
