Outlaw Triathlon

The 2010 Outlaw Triathlon in Nottingham. Up to 1,000 entrants face a gruelling challenge, with a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run.

Top efforts by the Barrow Outlaw Posse at a scorching hot Holme Pierrepont yesterday ... not only did Anna, Chris and Norman go well under their target times in the individual ironman distance event, but Mon, Ross and Capn' Spenno did a great time for the team event too.

The next set of 5 swim sessions will commence on Friday 11th June at Quorn Rawlins Swimming Pool, 7 till 8pm.  All abilities very welcome. Please also note that Charnwood Tri Swimming sessions at Quorn on Tuesday's and Thursday mornings, 7:00am are also open to Barrow Club members.

Congratulations to all who competed in this year's Barrow Sprint Tri on Sunday 16th May.

We hope you had a great day and enjoyed the dry conditions. The high quality field produced no surprises in the winning male, with Andy Tarry completing the 400m swim, 12.5 mile bike and 5.1K run in 53:42. There were 3 others who clocked less than and hour and Cap'n Spenno came home in an impressive 6th.

In the women's category, Leicester Tri's Jeanette Foster and Gina Vaughan completed a 1:2 closely followed by Barrow's Emily Ault in third place.
