Whilst there were spooky goings on at the Skeleton Run and the Worksop Half, over in France, Helen James ran a superhuman 184 km and was placed fifth female at the Ultrarunners 24 Hour World Championships - congratulations Helen!

Upcoming races
1st November - Halloween Head torch Trail Run, St Leonards Church, Hoton
Spooky goings on at the church at the charity head torch trail run for the Alzheimer's Society. It's an off road run of around 6 miles - fancy dress actively encouraged, torches compulsory. Spicy soup, wedges and spooky biscuits upon our return, and all for a suggested minimum donation of £5. Please let Cheika Kennedy or Rob Beers know if you intend coming.
3rd November - Charnwood Trails, Woodhouse Eaves Village Hall
Social trail run of around ten miles led by Rob Beers. Meet at 10 am.

Presentation evening, 22nd November – We only have a handful of tickets left, so book quickly to avoid disappointment!
Presentation evening raffle - We still need raffle prizes to support the Move charity! Donations would be greatly appreciated and can be given to any member of the Social Committee (Jo Chappell, Lorraine Toll, Julie Felstead, Farah Robson, Paul Bentley, Alison Newill, Sue Taylor, Lucy Snape, Monique Raaijmakers or Claire Armitage).
Christmas Tree Festival, Holy Trinity Church, Barrow, from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th December - Come along and see the Barrow Runners tree! The concert is Friday 6th December and costs £7 for adults and £3 for children.
