Helen has done many Park Runs achieving PBs each time and has also run a 10k race earlier this year. She has since joined Barrow Runners and now also comes on a Tuesday night where she started in Sue's group. Helen is still pushing herself and before long will be moving up into Alison's group. Helen is deserving of Runner of the Month as this typifies exactly what getting into running is all about.

Kirsty was part of the successful silver medalists Barrow Runners Ladies Team in the recent Leicestershire County Cross Country Championships finishing in 10th place individually and followed this up with a strong performance in the Midland Cross Country Championships held on her doorstep at Prestwold Hall, where she led the Barrow ladies team home to finish 10th out of 27 teams in the Midlands region. She has worked really hard at getting herself back to full fitness and this has resulted in a quantum leap in her race times.
