The marathon runners were out in force this weekend, with superb performances both at home in Leicester and away in Palma. Special mention goes to Joel Payne, who was guide-running his friend in the Leicester Marathon and helping him home in a massive 14 minute PB. Well done Joel!

Magnificent Marathon Running this weekend! Alex Toll ran in England Colours at the Chester Marathon, finishing in a fantastic time of 2:53:00. Whilst ‘down under’ in New Zealand Gareth Jones was 2nd in the Mount Cook Marathon, in an excellent time of 3:02.

Another weekend of racing saw Parkrun success for Amber Lester who was first female at Dishley, Loughborough Parkrun! There were also PBs at the Robin Hood Half Marathon and the Tissington Trail Half Marathon and a 100th Parkrun for Mark Sadler

Plenty of laps in the mud over at Belvoir Castle for Equinox 24 and some serious off-road running in the Lakes and the Peaks. Plus an impressive Parkrun PB for Amber Lester.

International achievement for Tim Hartley with a silver medal in the World Championship Masters in Malaga, followed by a win at the Charnwood Challenge 10 Miles! Elsewhere saw a strong Barrow presence at Calke Abbey, as well as ‘Boring’ marathon run by Ian Fisk.

Good weekend for the Ladies - Lucy Bird was 1st female in the National Forest Way 36 miles; Andrea Winkless also 1st female in the Railsport Sprint Triathlon, which was Gillian Hailes’s 1st ever triathlon.

This week we had an impressive 65 Barrow Runners out at Asfordby to retain the Three Club Challenge title (and keep Mick happy!). And another incredible full Iron Man performance for the season - this time it was Neil Cobley.
