There were plenty of Barrow Runners at parkrun on Saturday morning with Chris Walker finishing first at Watermead, Louise Caskey finishing second in her category at Abbey Park (and grabbing a course PB too), Justine Albert finishing second lady at Beacon Hill and Rachel Bentley finishing second lady at Sence Valley Forest Park.
There were also some great results at Martinshaw Woods XC on Sunday. A lovely sunny day with plenty of puddles to (intentionally) wade through saw 14 Barrow men and 5 Barrow ladies score not only for the Derby Runner XC League, but for the Winter Championships too. Will Clarke won the overall race and Tim Don came third, giving the men's and mixed team score a massive boost. For the ladies, Rachel Bentley followed up her second place at Sence Valley Forest Park parkrun the previous day with a third place finish.
