Barrow Runners were out in force at various events across the globe this weekend, including Barcelona, Singapore and Tasmania. There was also a huge parkrun milestone closer to home.

Jonathan Dent ran a massive PB at the Barcelona Marathon, finishing in a fantastic 03:38:57. Jonathan beat his previous PB by 17 minutes and commented that there was support every mile of the way from the people of Barcelona. "A very memorable marathon in a very beautiful city."

There was a HUGE parkrun milestone for Dawn Storer, who completed her 500th parkrun at Conkers on Saturday. Although Dawn is usually found at Beacon Hill parkrun these days, Conkers is her home parkrun and also the location of over 430 of her parkruns. Dawn was joined by a number of Barrow Runners who came along to celebrate this massive milestone with her.

Lewis Moses, Tim Don and Rachel Bentley were representing Leicestershire and Rutland at the UK CAU Inter Counties Cross Country Championships at Wollaton Hall in Nottingham. For the Senior Men's team, Lewis Moses finished in 00:29:01 (and was the 3rd counter) and Tim Don finished in 00:31:48. For the Senior Women, Rachel Bentley finished in 00:32:43 and was the 5th counter.

Slightly further north, Ian Hawley ran the Retford Half Marathon in a blistering 01:24:37.

In Oundle, Alex Toll was 1st in his age category at the Oundle 20, finishing in 02:17:13 and Lorraine Toll was also 1st in her age category at the Oundle 10K, finishing in 00:51:47.

Beyond Dawn's parkrun milestone celebrations at Conkers, there were also Barrow Runners at Alvaston, Braunstone, Dishley, Gedling, Northampton, Rushcliffe and Watermead parkrun. Overseas, Jack Peasgood ran the Devonport parkrun in Tasmania and Monique Raaijmakers was 1st lady at the West Coast Park parkrun in Singapore.
