The RUNdown

It's the final RUNdown for 2024 and we have some epic performances in Parkrun which highlight the close of the year. Firstly, Sue Wilson and family had 3 generations who ran Watermead on Saturday 28th Dec.

There was Sue, her three sons, daughter-in-law and her 10-year-old granddaughter who completed her first ever parkrun. What a turnout Sue, well done all.

Secondly, we have Mark who is still topsy turvey to us all in sunny Australia where he has brought home two 1st VM65 in Tamworth Wetlands parkrun on Christmas Day with a 25:44 and in Bibra Lake on Saturday 28th December with a 24:34. Another double winner for 1st in age category but closer to home was Dawn Storer who ran Conkers on Christmas Day and Sence Valley on Saturday 28th December with 24:54 and 24:15 respectively.

Thirdly, we have Rob Phillips and Justine Albert completing their parkrun alphabet by striking off Q for Queen Elizabeth parkrun on Christmas Day with Justine coming in 3rd female.

Finally, we have Michael Cheverton bringing home a 1st place and PB at Widnes parkrun, Kristie Matthiae coming first at Old Deer Park parkrun with a time of 00:22:39 and Lorna Goodacre and Andrea Winkless with 1st in age category at Margate and Sherwood Pines parkrun, respectively.
