The RUNdown

This weekend was all about the latest Barrow Winter Championship race, the cross county at Grace Dieu, on Sunday, where we had a great number of Barrow Runners showing their support for the club and of course our trusty parkruns across the country.

For the XC at Grace Dieu we had 11 finishers on the female team and 12 finishers on the male team. It seemed like perfect weather for the occasion, and it certainly suited newcomers to the XC James Woodford and Danny Hall, both scoring for the men's team. Big thanks to Andy Price for once again leading the charge and looking after our runners.

London parkruns secured age category positions for both Dawn Storer and Justine Albert. Dawn took part with 1,099 other runners at Battersea parkrun and wow, within those numbers Dawn secured an amazing 1st in age category. Rob Phillips and Justine Albert were also in London and running in the Rushmore parkrun at which Justine also secured a 1st in age category spot. Well done ladies.
