The racing action came early this week. Some 35 Barrow Runners competed for points in round 5 of the club championship in the Watermead Challenge on Tuesday. PBs were claimed by Helen, George (who also finished 2nd in his age category), Lorna, and Rich (his second 5 mile PB in 9 days). Ollie finished second overall and many others achieved age category placings.
Club members also raced in the Windmill Fell Race on Wednesday and the Tara Kinder 10k on Friday. Not many people seemed to have any energy left to race during the weekend, but Millie ran the Race to the Stones ultra on Saturday, and parkrun results were reported from all over: as far north as the Lake District and as far south as... Australia.
