Andrew Unitt took on the Sydney marathon, getting up at the crack of dawn for a 6:30am start. Despite the lack of sleep and jet-lag Andrew had an amazing run and finished 16th in his age category.
Louise Male enjoyed the Timberhonger 10km in Bromsgrove, so called because most of the route is on Timberhonger Lane. This race is known for its picturesque course and infamous hill, which Louise bounded up to be third lady home.
We had no fewer than THREE first place runners in the various parkruns on Saturday - Michael Cheverton, Kate Ramsey and Rachel Bentley, while 14 Barrow Runners joined record crowds at Watermead parkrun - 543 attendees ran around those lakes!
And finally, friend of Barrow Runners, Gemma Hillier Moses was cheered on by lots of Barrow Runners on the Marathons Whatsapp group as she undertook the UTMB Mont Blanc race over 101km and 6,050m+ elevation. An inspirational run.
