Let's start on with the "short" races - Half Marathons. Ian and Liz ran the Stratford Big Half Marathon. They both achieved a top ten age group position. Further afield, Katy completed the Copenhagen Half Marathon.
Moving on to the ridiculously long, Kristie and Gav tackled the 47 mile LAP round Windermere. This anti-clockwise edition presented the runners with unsettled weather and slippy trail conditions, making it a very different race from the dry and sunny clockwise event back in May. Kristie and Gav clearly could not get enough of it, adding on a mile or two near the end after taking a wrong turn.
Also running a trail adventure were Nigel and Bomber. Not to be outdone by the ultra runners, they added on four miles after missing a turn. Maybe a Barrow Runners navigation skills workshop is in order...
