Seven Barrow Runners trotted around Keyworth this Sunday in pursuit of the festive spirit. They all did very well on the challenging half marathon route, with the sole exception of the festive spirit, whose time does not appear in the results.
In Telford, some of the best 10k runners in the country gathered on Sunday to run an event claiming to be "statistically proven as the fastest 10k course in the UK". In a race where 39 people finished in under 30 minutes, Michael must have enjoyed not being at the very front for change and ran a 10k PB.
George sharpened his half marathon PB at the Victoria Park HM in London. Afterwards, he found refreshment at a Grade II* listed drinking fountain erected by Angela Georgina Burdett Coutts, Victorian millionaire, philanthropist and (possible) previous incarnation of our bearded friend.
A contingent of eight Barrow Runners ran the Malaga Half Marathon, all of whom were outdone by James who took on the full marathon distance.
At parkrun, Jake came first at Abbey Park, while Rich went sub-20 in a massive PB effort at Watermead. More PBs were achieved by Millie at Long Eaton and by Theo in the junior parkrun.
