It might have been cold and frosty so far this new year, but there has also been lots of glorious sunshine and running. The year began as it does for many club members with an early morning parkrun at many venues across the country and beyond, and not forgetting our coach Rob Phillips who was the Run Director at Beacon Hill for the first parkrun of the year, and on Saturday he amazingly completed his 499th parkrun!!
The parkrunning joy continued on Saturday, with more course PBs for various runners, however numbers were down as a cohort of barrow runners took on the County XC Championship races at Rotherby Lodge Farm. The Ladies Managed to bring home silverware for the club, coming 2nd in the Seniors Cateogry and 1st in the Masters before heading home to try and warm up. Well done to everyone that took part, and to those supporting, lending hats, marshalling and taking some great photos of the team.
