The 'Run'down - 23 March 2026

Alongside Ashby, this weekend saw the return of the Charnwood Marathon with 18 and 27 mile options. The route took in the Charnwood countryside and I'm sure the participants were grateful of the recent good weather to avoid a mud bath!

Over in the Tuscany sun, Ann and Nigel Hillier took on their first UTMB trail race at the 21km distance in Chianti. Ann followed in daughter Gemma's prize-winning footsteps with an age category prize.

Continuing their canicross success, Harry and Spring took on a 30 mile (!) trail race in the Brecon Beacons and finished in second place. Well done both!
