The 'Run'down - 13 April 2026

Let's go in order of increasing distance.

At Watermead Junior parkrun, the Barrow youngsters showed what the parkrun spirit is about. Tilly, Rufus, and James all ran/walked and volunteered at the same time!

At 5k parkruns, Hollie did a spot of tourism and finished dritte Frau at Lousberg, Michael was second overall at Watermead, and Justine and Dawn were the first ladies of Plymvalley and Battlestead Croft.

At Leicester's Big 10k, both Jake and Amber finished in the top 10.

Claire ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon for club charity Molly's Gift.

The Rutland Spring Half Marathon was won by Matt K!

At the Rasselbock Run 6 hour event at Sherwood Pines, Caroline ran 37k and Jon will have to wait until after the marathons.

At Boston Marathon in flat flat Lincolnshire, hope for PBs was cursed by the prevailing southwesterly, but the performances were pretty impressive, considering the 30+ mph headwinds in the second half.

However, marathon PBs were crushed in other places. At Brighton Marathon by Lee, at Paris Marathon by Liam H, and at Milan Marathon by Ian H.

And finally, with the longest run of the weekend, Jon finished 7th overall with a distance of 55k at the Rasselbock Run, achieving a 50k PB in the process.
