Fun in the sun!

The legendary Andrea took on the Ironman 70.3 in Swansea, coming 1st in her age category and winning herself a place in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships!

This week, George, Bridie and Kathy completed the final two of four races of the Holme Pierrepont Grand Prix series, with Bridie and Kathy coming top in their respective age categories, and George coming 13th overall and 4th in the age category that he will very soon be leaving.

Alex Toll endured the Lakeland Trails 55k Ultra, a testing ultra marathon course through dramatic mountain scenery. The course is described as tough and challenging, but the most picturesque ultra marathon in the UK, including three mountain passes and 7,000 ft of ascent.

Also this week, the Barrow Runners Six Sweltered in the Sunshine at the Watermead Challenge, where Rich got his first PB of the week.

Jonathan and Steve took on the Birmingham Sprint Triathlon where they enjoyed the swim, but overheated in the sun for the rest of the event.

And finally, for parkrun we had Caroline in Germany, Mark on the Isle of White, Phil on Jersey, Andrea and Collette in Wales, James in Scotland, and a whole bunch of us in Nottingham for the fourth Club Championship race at the relatively new Victoria Embankment parkrun where Rich got his second PB of the week, Mon got an amazing 82% age grading and we had loads of category wins.
