The RUNdown - 14 September 2026

This week saw the inaugural running of the Hose 10, with it being seven years since a 10 mile race last featured in the LRRL. There were 36 brave Barrow Runners tackling the bovines on the course, with Michael Cheverton taking another LRRL podium place with a third place finish. Amongst the results are a mixture of other 2nd and 3rd place age category wins, with the Barrow teams scoring well in this race.

Elsewhere, we had a small group taking on the world's largest half marathon at the Great North Run and earning themselves some well-deserved beers afterwards!

Special mention this week goes to Chris Jackson. Following on from a duathlon race at Darley Moor in Derbyshire a few weeks ago, he now has a confirmed place in the Team GB 60-64 age group sprint duathlon team. This will take place in Spain next year with the date TBC!
