Fun in the sun at Equinox24!

This weekend the sun shone for all of the daylight hours of Equinox24. It was warm(ish), windy and hilly, and 58 Barrow Runners joined in with the fun, either as part of a Large Team, 6 hour solo, Day/Night 10km, or the extra special 24 hour soloist runners. James, Jess and Dave managed 310km between them and it was a special moment when the whole Barrow Runners team lined the finishing straight to cheer James home on his 11th lap. Kudos also must go to the amazing Team The Red Barrows, who, at one point of the weekend, were 2 seconds off the lead. Unfortunately the winning team proved too fast to beat, but our runners brought home a brilliant 2nd place, well ahead of the team in 3rd.

There were a couple of other events entered by our club, we had Malcolm Bomber Harris doing the Woodhall Spa Triathlon and coming 1st in his age category, and Poppy Ballantine taking part in the duathlon at TriDog with lovely Swift.
