The RUNdown - 6 October 2026

On Sunday we had the closing race of the 2026 LRRL, Rotherby 8. Kirsty won her age category and 20 others put in the effort to light up the asphalt for the 12th and final time this year, powered by a borderline excessive helping of SiS gels. We eagerly await the final results and the resulting accolades for our teams in the final standings.

For those who don't like roads, the Nanpantan Scout group hosted their annual 10 mile blast of some our best local trails, known as the Charnwood Challenge.

And then there were some half marathons. Danny N/F and Neil C took on Lincoln Half. Ronald and Liam H ran Cardiff Half, with Liam smashing his PB by 6 minutes.

In the world of parkrun, there were top three finishes for Nick, Rachael, Rachel, and Amber. And even injury couldn't stop Mark from coming third in his age category.
