About the series
The Leicestershire Road Running League have put together a virtual league after the cancellation of this year's regular league.
It's a group of 6 races (the first being the Barrow Honesty 10K), ranging in distance from 1 mile to 10K. All races are free to enter online, with runners asked to consider a donation to charity.
We've set up a Barrow Runners Giving page for our members to donate to the Club's nominated charity for each race, for example Race #2 is Ménières Society.
The clubs have been split into separate groups for North, South, East, and West - In the North league, we are matched against with Anstey, Birstall, Charnwood, Coalville Tri, Poplar, and Shepshed.
In the final race, the top two from each group will have the chance to be crowned overall Lockdown Champions!
For each race you need to enter on the OpenTrack website beforehand (for free) then run either the Saturday or Sunday of the race weekend, and then submit your time via OpenTrack.
So if you were going to be running anyway those weekends, you might as well enter it as part of the race - the more runners we get out the better our chances of scoring well.
