We were supposed to have a Club Championship race at Sence Valley Forest parkrun on Saturday, but this event was cancelled due to flooding. The captains were quick to sort out alternative plans and the Club Championship event took place at Rushcliffe parkrun instead. Despite the crowds at Rushcliffe, Terri Cooper managed to run a new PB.
Some runners decided to go to Beacon Hill parkrun instead, to celebrate the first birthday of this lovely addition to the local parkrun scene.
On Sunday, 25 Barrow Runners descended on Prestwold for the Leicestershire Half marathon. It was a crisp and sunny morning, and many runners seized the opportunity to run a strong time. At least seven of us sharpened our PBs, including Tess who broke the 2 hours barrier for the first time in 30 years!
