Well done to Paul and Winxy who stepped in as impromptu volunteers at Market Bosworth Country Park parkrun. Paul took on the mundane role of Barcode Scanner, compared to Winxy's rather more hazardous position of Hornet's-nest-diversion-marshall.
Luke also got a volunteering credit, for doing the course check at Melton Mowbray parkrun... along with 40 odd others who ran the course five times in a row as part of a charity event.
Several Barrow Runners competed in the Great North Run in rainy Newcastle. But the weather did nothing to slow down Ben, who continued his strong season with a huge half marathon PB.
New member James finished an unusual and challenging triathlon in the Lake district, which included a run up Scafell Pike.
Furthest north of all, but in remarkably hot conditions, Ian ran up and down Scotland's highest mountain in the Ben Nevis Race.
