This Saturday saw the 100th parkrun at event at Beacon Hill, which is the closest parkrun to Barrow and includes our run coach, Rob Phillips on the core organisation team. There was a strong Barrow turnout for this special event, with some delicious cakes to share afterwards, and we wish Beacon parkrun well for their next 100 events.
On Sunday, it was the turn of the annual Charnwood Hills race, a tough 14 mile course across the Charnwood countryside (including a visit to Old John!). Lewis Moses won the race, whilst Kirsty Hillier took 7th place in the women's race (2nd in age category).
